From April 1st, 2018 Dr. Sergey Kovanda and Mr. Jeff Hopmayer have joined the ABG Supervisory Board as non-executive directors. With their vast experience and expertise, both entrepreneurs will not only strengthen ABG with their creative contributions but will also be a source of valued independent advice and governance. Both Sergey Kovanda and Jeff Hopmayer will offer a wider view of the potential factors affecting the company and its business environment.
Dr. Sergey Kovanda obtained his education at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, where he attained a doctoral degree in economic science. For a number of years now, he has been Assistant Rector at the Moscow International Institute and a board member of the Russian-French joint venture Continental-Invest. In a professional career spanning over 20 years, Dr. Kovanda has been a board member of several international financial and manufacturing companies.
Jeff Hopmayer has over 30 years of experience as a CEO, most of which he has spent with adult beverage organizations operating within both the public and private sectors. Jeff has significant and extensive experience in the retail, consumer product and adult beverage arenas, and is now sharing his knowledge with other entrepreneurs through one of the largest suppliers of bourbon, whiskey and other bulk spirits to the industry, the Brindiamo Group. Formerly CEO of one of the larger wineries on the Central Coast of California, Mr. Hopmayer graduated from the University of Denver and currently resides in Nashville. He sits on the board of several privately-owned companies in the consumer products space, as well as a private equity firm and a Chicago-based foundation.
