Mark Garber to lead Amber Beverage Group's Supervisory Board

Mark Garber has been appointed as the Independent Director and NonExecutive Chairman of Amber Beverage Group Holding Sarl. Mark Garber will lead the creation and establishment of Amber Beverage Group’s Supervisory Board in Q1 2018.

Mark Garber is a well-known financier in the Russian and world investment community. He was a doctor and an MD in psychoneuroendocrinology when, in 1987, Garber became a co-founder of Sintez – one of the first private companies in the USSR. In 1988, he organized the first Soviet-American joint venture Sovaminko and later the Soviet-American technology company MEBINVEST.

In 1995 in cooperation with Hans-Joerg Rudloff (former CEO of Credit Suisse First Boston), Garber established the first Russian investment bank UCB. In 1998, UCB was purchased by the investment bank Robert Fleming & Co and Garber became the Chairman of Fleming UCB.

In 2000, following Robert Fleming & Co.’s purchase by the Chase Group, Mark Garber and Roderick D. Fleming established the global financial group Fleming Family & Partners and Garber became a Senior Partner of FF&P.

In 2012 in collaboration with Ian Hannam, he bought out the Russian division of FF&P, and established the GHP in 2012, Garber has been the Chairman of the Board since 2013.

Mark Garber also serves on the Board’s of UC RUSAL and FESCO as an Independent Non-executive Director and in December 2013, he was recognized as a Legend of the Industry PB&WM by SPEAR’S magazine.
