Luxembourg-based Amber Beverage Group (ABG) has appointed AMKA Group, one of Northern Europe’s most essential and influential independent importers, as its spirits distributor in Denmark. AMKA Group is handling European beverage leader’s 100% blue agave tequila Rooster Rojo® and the gold-filtered sparkling wine Cosmopolitan Diva® as of October 1st, 2019.
“Following the growth of these brands in other global markets, we are now poised to accelerate performance in Denmark in partnership with AMKA,” says Elena Azhnova, Amber Beverage Group go-to-market strategist. “By 2023, the Tequila category in Denmark will grow by 5.9% and Sparkling wine’s – by 3.9%. To use this opportunity to the fullest, we have partnered with an enthusiastic, devoted and committed importer that will put in motion all channels in order to launch our brands,” says Elena Azhnova.
“Denmark’s economy is faring well, and consumers are driven towards premiumisation and wellbeing trends. The Danes are buying fewer beverages overall but when they do, they look for high-quality and authentic products like Rooster Rojo tequila,” says Stine Storgaard Nielsen, AMKA Group Head of Purchasing. “In the same time, the Danes are very health-orientated and thus will appreciate the plus points of the Cosmopolitan Diva: the low alcohol content, low calories per serve and the fact that no artificial colourings are added to create the stunning tin of the drink,” reveals Stine Storgaard Nielsen.
