Mexico-spirited Rooster Rojo® tequila had its first appearance on the silver screen, starring in the latest film from director Jesse Johnson – The Avengement. This premium tequila is the first choice for all the villains who want to lock horns with the famous English actor and martial artist Scott Adkins.
“To ensure the realistic storyline, we needed an edgy and cool drink that hasn’t been exploited anywhere yet,” said Jesse Johnson. “Rooster Rojo was the right option and the bar scene with a round of the tequila shots came out very credible,” he added.
“There are a lot of similarities between Scott Adkins and Rooster Rojo as both of them have a very serious attitude towards what they do and how they are doing it. Scott is a top-rate martial artist and he has succeeded everything through very hard work while our Rooster Rojo is an outcome of a time-consuming and careful investment of know-how and distilling skills. To see both of them in one scene is magnificent,” said the global brand director of Rooster Rojo tequila Mantas Zlatkus.
The movie will premiere in the USA by Samuel Goldwyn Films on May 24th, in the UK (in the digital version) by Dazzler Media on June 17th, followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on July 1st. The launch of the movie will be accompanied by a special cocktail designed to one’s blood to run faster - The Avengement.
