Global spirits producer and distributor, Amber Beverage Group (ABG), has announced further expansion in Eastern Europe with new strategic partners in Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova to distribute its core brands Moskovskaya® Vodka, KAH® Tequila, Riga Black Balsam® and Rooster Rojo® tequila.
“Consumers, now more than ever, are looking for original and authentic brands. Our rich history, combined with our work over the last few years rejuvenating the Moskovskaya Vodka brand – one of the oldest Vodka brands in existence – is delivering results across the board. Our new communications campaign, social media activation, innovative packaging and clear and solid commercial strategy is creating high demand in existing and new markets,” said Walter Kooijman, ABG Managing Director of EMEIA & Global Travel Retail.
“We have been able to launch our new innovative Moskovskaya Pink, for example, in over 10 new markets in the last six months alone. This also explains the new and increased interest in Moskovskaya from the Eastern European markets, an area where we have not been represented that well over the years, and where we see a huge potential for our key brands.”
With Vodka being the third biggest category in the country, Hungarian distributor and e-commerce retailer Whiskynet has started the distribution of Moskovskaya Vodka in the off-trade and online channels.
At the same time, in neighbouring Slovakia, the biggest online specialised retailer and beverage distributor Svet nápojov will take on the distribution of world’s oldest herbal bitter brand, Riga Black Balsam, and will add Rooster Rojo and KAH to its Tequila portfolio.
In Moldova, a new partnership to distribute the legendary Riga Black Balsam and Moskovskaya Vodka has been agreed with beverage retailer and distributor Vitafor.
Jānis Siliņš, Regional Sales Director at Amber Beverage Group, said: “Eastern Europe and the Balkan region represent a big opportunity for ABG. The new distribution deals follow our appointment of Craft Spirits Bulgaria as ABG’s Bulgarian distributor last month and we are already in advanced discussions with partners to expand our distribution to all other markets in the region.”
Amber Beverage Group is a holding company that has grown from its original core production business established in 1900, to become the global company that unites over 2,000 employees in almost 20 companies across four continents. ABG operates internationally from its head office in Luxembourg through its production and distribution companies in Russia, Mexico, UK, Australia, Austria and the Baltics.
